Recently, I made a few stop motion animations of some of my painted spheres. I’m very much a beginner at stop motion, but there is something really fun and amusing about making a physical artwork come alive so I’m having a good time with it and will likely do more. So far, I just use Stop Motion Studio for my Android based phone, I highly recommend this app for those wanting to get into stop motion. It’s not the fanciest software out there for making this type of animation, but I found it to be easy to use and also seems reasonably priced if you want to buy it and get the extra features.
This year, I plan on making more animations in general since short form video is the big thing these days. I’d also like to do more WIP process videos but often when I try, the making of the video interrupts my art flow too much and I just get sucked into making the art and give up on making a video. I’ll keep trying though.
