Spotlight

This is a 18″ X 24″ casein painting on panel that I recently finished.

An internal fire shines a bright spotlight from this musician who plays sunny songs that cause the curtains of night to open making way for the daytime.

This one took quite a while, as I’m sure you might have suspected from the detail. For me it was a particularly interesting challenge to paint the night curtain, I wasn’t sure how that idea was going to work out. In the end I am pleased.
