Just added more original art and prints to my shop
Paintings and Open Editions!
IMPORTANT NOTE: In this post I refer to “my shop” which was a store I built onto this website. I’ve since moved over to an eBay store. I updated the links to go there or deleted them where no longer relevant. For more info on the move read this post.
Now that my shop is open, I’m slowly adding artworks I’ve made over the years. I’d been on a break from selling for quite a while, so it will take me a while to add everything. This time I’ve added a couple pieces from 2020, as well as a collage from 2018.
Here’s a couple pieces completed 2020. I made the inner paintings in 2019, but had an idea to make artsy “frames” for them and so they weren’t completed until a little later. This piece is made up of the main artwork in the middle, then a painted mat outside of that and some painted paper clay around the outer edge. It’s all permanently attached to an aluminum board. These have been varnished in a manner that is durable and can be restored much like an oil painting if needed in the future. They’ve even got hanging hardware and are ready to hang!
If you love these pieces but the originals are out of your budget, or are already sold by the time you read this, or if you just prefer prints, take a look at the open edition print versions I made of them. They’re a standard 8″ X 10″ size with optional additional matting. I didn’t get a large pile of prints, since I have so many upcoming releases and since I’m just starting up again I only have a small budget to be spending on inventory, so if you want them get them before they sell out or you’ll have to wait at least a couple weeks for them to be restocked.
Another item I added is this collage made with a paint sample drawing from 2018. It was the artwork that inspired a postcard design, as well as this shirt design. It was hard for me to figure out at first what I should do to make it a bit more “user friendly” since it seems like it’s a very odd shaped thing to try to frame. A bit later on, I decided to glue it to a 8″ X 10″ board and add some other bits of paint sample to create a collage. Problem solved. This one isn’t framed and should ultimately be framed behind glass or plexi-glass for display, but it does come with an 11″ X 14″ black mat, so it’s halfway there.
