Moonlit Oasis

11″ x 14″ Chinese Watercolor, Gouache and Ink

This new artwork features a full moon wandering the desert, revealing a small spring hidden in the dunes. A couple of birds are there happily floating about in the moonlit waters.

I did a lot of experimenting with layering Chinese watercolor, gouache and ink variously on top of each other to create some interesting textures in this one. I like how it turned out, hope you do too!
